Distinguished Colleagues,

The Balkan Universities Association and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki cordially invite you to the BUA 2019 Conference and to the 5th Meeting of the Balkan Universities Association. Both events shall be organized in April 16-18, 2019 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Participants are invited to prepare papers for submission to the BUA 2019 Conference on the following main topics:

  • Quality Assurance in Higher Education – International Accreditation
  • Sustainable Development
    Earth Observation Data – Societal Benefit Areas
  • European Projects / European Academic and Research Networks
  • The Impact of Universities on Local/Regional Economies
  • Modern Approaches on Agriculture and Forestry
  • Methods to promote University – Industry Cooperation

A session on Degrees on Balkan Studies will be held on April 17, 2019. Those interested are welcome to make a short (15′) presentation on such Degrees offered by their University or Institution. For applications and further information please contact us via email at bua2019@auth.gr .

We are seizing the opportunity to inform you that on Monday, April 15, 2019, our University co-organizes the 6th Technology Forum (https://technology-forum.eu) at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with distinguished speakers: MIT Professor Constantinos Daskalakis and Apostolos “Toli” Lerios, the cofounder of Metanautix, a Silicon Valley big data analytics infrastructure startup acquired by Microsoft. You are more than welcome to attend the Forum.
